Details:
Meredith Sinclair of LIFE Behavior Consulting LLC will be conducting a workshop for our CVDSA parents and caregivers. According to Meredith, learning about the functions, or the "why" children are doing what they are doing and understanding what they are trying to tell us, helps us honor what they need. With this understanding we can teach them new positive ways of getting their needs met. She hopes to empower parents so they can help their children to learn and grow and have success and inclusion in all areas of life.
She works with families to decrease challenging behaviors and teach new positive adaptive behaviors.
Meredith holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Penn State University and a master's in Rehabilitation Counseling from Georgia State University. She is a certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Behavior Specialist. She has been trained in Applied Behavior Analysis, worked at the Marcus Autism center as a parent trainer in the Community Autism Program, and doing parent and provider training for the Center for Leadership in disability at Georgia State University in a program with Babies Can't Wait. Her specialty is in working with families and caregivers of children and adults with disabilities.
If you are interested in attending this workshop, please RSVP no later than August 5, 2016.
